Overview
It is the one-year regular course of KIM India Institute™. The duration is approximately 8–9 months, with classes usually conducted 4 days a week for 1 hour 30 minutes each (this may increase depending on the course curriculum). The coverage is exhaustive and prepares students for all the leading MCA entrance examinations in India.

1 Set Theory +
Concept of sets — Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations.
2 Probability and Statistics +
Basic concepts of probability theory, averages, dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion.
3 Algebra +
Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear/quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices.
4 Coordinate Geometry +
Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line and intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola.
5 Calculus +
Limit of functions, continuous functions, differentiation, tangents and normals, simple maxima and minima. Integration by parts, by substitution and by partial fractions, definite integrals and their application to areas.
6 Vectors +
Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.
7 Trigonometry +
Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.
8 Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning +
Logical situations and questions based on the facts given in a passage.
9 Computer Basics +
Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), structure of instructions in the CPU, input/output devices, computer memory and back-up devices.
10 Data Representation +
Representation of characters, integers and fractions; binary and hexadecimal representations; binary arithmetic and two’s complement; floating-point representation; Boolean algebra, truth tables and Venn diagrams.
11 General English +
Comprehension, vocabulary, basic English grammar (verb forms, prepositions and articles), word power, synonyms and antonyms, meaning of words and phrases, technical writing.
